The Troutdale House by the Sandy River Wedding in Oregon

This Troutdale House by the Sandy River wedding in Oregon has stolen my heart. A quirky, unique wedding venue paired with a super rad couple is my fav combo ever. Take a peek and I know you’ll love it too.

The Troutdale House Wedding Venue

Located near the banks of the Sandy River on the Historic Columbia River Highway, The Troutdale House by the Sandy River lies minutes from downtown Portland, Oregon. This award-winning venue has a variety of picture-perfect settings to share your vows and dance on into the night in.

For a wedding with a more rustic elegance vibe, the Basement Wine Cellar features rich wood tones and deep red bricks with a unique mix of straight lines and arches. If traditional decor and a more intimate setting is more your speed, the Victorian Room at The Troutdale House offers smaller parties dramatic crystal chandeliers, marble finishes, and a luxurious wallpaper backdrop. Larger parties of up to 100 can utilize the rustic lodged in the fall and winter with vaulted ceilings made of dark honey wood and natural stone flooring. Parties up to 200 can dance the evening away in the Enchanted Ballroom with fairy lights, and draped fabrics for traditional elegance.

If you are looking to tie the knot in the outdoors, the mature greenery of Bridal Park will drop you and up to 200 guests into a once in a lifetime venue. This space features two gorgeous options for your ceremony – facing large victorian styled doors or a dramatic wooden arch for taking your vows in front of. Looking to bring the modern dramatics and elegance to your outdoor wedding? The Wisteria Courtyard has beautiful wood arbors that are dripping with wisteria and delicate overhead lights. This location can accommodate up to 200 guests for a ceremony and up to 100 guests for additional outdoor reception seating using 10 round tables.

The Troutdale House on the Sandy River Wedding venue offers a host of unique additional spaces for the wedding party and guests which include a large dance floor, a rentable Rustic Lodge to stay in overnight, a game room in the basement, and two spacious rooms with lounges for each partner to get ready for their special day with their favorite people. A special treat to those vintage car fans can be found in the Downstairs Lounge in the form of a 1950 Cadillac perfect as a photo prop for the couple.

Amenities & Attractions in Troutdale, Oregon

Outside of The Troutdale House venue itself, the town of Troutdale is a quiet little town known for its fishing spots and antique stores. Don’t be fooled though; this Oregon town is not dull. A hotspot of dining and waterfall spotting, there is always something to do in Troutdale.

Some must-visit restaurants on any visit to Troutdale need to be Yoshida’s Riverview Restaurant and Tad’s Chicken ‘n Dumplins. If you are short on time, a stop at Calcagno Cellars Winery to sample the local varieties will give you a good taste of what Troutdale has to offer.

For those itching for a little adventure, take a drive along the Historic Columbia River Highway. Outside of breathtaking views along the way, you will be lead right to Oregon’s majestic “Waterfall Alley,” a series of waterfalls and hikes. You can visit all eight — Latourell Falls, Shepperd’s Dell, Bridal Veil Falls, Multnomah Falls, Oneonta Falls, Horsetail Falls, Wahclella Falls, and Punchbowl Falls — and quickly fill up your camera’s memory card.
